Your Library

Want RJ Crayton’s books at your library so you and others in the community can read them easily? Just request your library purchase them. Libraries are incredibly responsive to customer requests. They can’t purchase every book a customer asks for, but they often have a budget set aside for customer requests or policies that put patron requests high on the priority list.

So, just check out you local library site and search for “request the library purchase a book.” Often, this can be done online. You can also call your local branch and ask how to request the library purchase a book. If you live in Prince George’s County, Md., Life First books are available for your reading pleasure.

Most libraries use OverDrive for ebooks, and the process of getting included in OverDrive is more complicated than getting the library to buy the traditional printed book.  My Life First series is available on Smashwords, which supplies books to OverDrive.  So, conceivably, you can request your library get the ebook. However, I’m not sure how complicated the process is for libraries, as I think Smashwords is pushing libraries to just get the most popular books for each category rather than actually curating a collection of ebooks.  If you think library books are germy, and you really want your library to get the ebook edition, here is the ebook information. Let me know how it works out:
