I blogged yesterday about what I learned at the Virginia Festival of the Book. However, since my in-laws are in C’ville, I got to hang out and enjoy the scenery, so I thought for the fun stuff, I’d post a couple of pics from the trip.
One of my favorite places to go in Charlottesville is Oil & Vinegar at Barracks Road. It’s right next to the Barnes & Noble.
After buying some passion fruit vinegar, we headed to the bookstore. Here’s my bag on the children’s room table.
The conference sessions I attended were at the Omni Hotel, which opens up to a shopping/eating area known as the mall. My son and I saw this cool giraffe. (Yes, I cut my son out of the pic. Hubby and I have a no kid pics rule, so sorry to my little guy).
My in-laws mentioned that there were these little free libraries around town where people could take/leave books. So, I figured I’d add Life First to the Charlottesville reading habit. Here it is in it’s free library box.
My in-laws have one cat: Oliver. Well, I noticed they had a fair amount of food for that cat and snapped a picture. I added a little text in my attempt at humor.
Finally, this is the week of Second Life, my current book baby, so the novel is on sale on Amazon for 99 cents this week. If you haven’t picked it up, check it out. I’ve got another little quote from it here.
Maybe the cat just eats a lot, lol.
Neat pics.
Thanks, Charles.
