Guess who’s the Big Fat Indie Author of the Week?

It’s me! And upon reading that headline, I realize you may now think I’m big and fat. Eh, size doesn’t matter–right gentlemen?

Anyway, just thought I’d do a quick post this week to let you know I’m the author of the week for the Goodreads Group, My Big Fat Indie Book Gang. What does that entail? Well, it just means I’ll get a little special love from group members with some author interviews and review posts.

In anticipation of the week’s start, I posted to my Facebook and Google+ pages three  fun guest posts and interviews I’ve done in the past (On writing about controversial subjects on JeriWB’s blog; on adding humor to your writing on Louise Wise’s blog; and on cloning my husband over at the Story Reading Ape).

I’ll post links to the Big Fat Indie Book Gang interview and reviews as they post during the week. Certainly, if you love independently published books and you want to find some good ones, head on over to the Goodreads group and join.

I have two final quick notes. First, I hope everyone will send love and good wishes the way of my beautiful grandmother Rosetta, who turns 85 today.  Finally, in the middle of the night, I woke up to pee and had the idea to make little quote posters of the book cover for Pinterest. I thought I’d do it in the morning, but decided since I was up anyway, I’d just do it. So,  here are two of them. If you want to see the other two, you can check out on my Pinterest page.

  1. Congratulations! That’s great and I love the quotes too. ‘First Life’ is on my tbr list and those quotes make me want to move it up. Very clever.

    And Happy Birthday Grandma.

    1. Glad you like the quotes; it means ideas you get at 2 am are worth doing, sometimes. And my grandma had a lovely birthday; the weather even cooperated, as it’s been too cold in Chicago for her to really get out, but her birthday brought a touch of warmth to the area.

    1. Felipe, thanks for the congratulations. Grandma had a great birthday, and glad to know the quote covers go over well. Now I just have to figure out what to do for Second Life.
